We are seeking a Materials Metallurgist for our 2nd shift in our manufacturing plant in Dalton, GA! The Materials Metallurgist will provide analysis, test specifications, failure analysis, and more to insure productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Support the specialist areas in material engineering issues.
• Prepare and conduct materials tests.
• Documents and archives measurement and analysis results.
• Inspects and decides on the use of raw material.
• Identify and approve materials, production parts or other test parts.
• Conducts Physical tests e.g. tensile strength, pull-out and push-out forces, hardness, torque and metallographic tests e.g. structural properties, penetration values of welded joints and analytical tests e.g. corrosion test, material analysis and chemical composition tests e.g. spectral analyzes are carried out on customer items or materials
• Customer facing
• Error analyzation

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of job experience in materials technology
• 1-3 of experience in quality processes
• 1-3 years' experience in automotive industry
• Communicative and competent team player with systematic way of working.
• Completed training as material tester or comparable
• Solid IT user skills, especially in SAP and MS Office.
• Willingness to work in all shifts and continuous training.
