Position Overview

The Intralogistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all logistics activities within the GUS4 facility. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials, the accuracy of inventory, and alignment with production requirements. The position requires strong leadership, a high level of organization, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Objectives of the Position

The job holder is accountable for all plant logistics activities, including:

Plant Material Management

  • Manage all material movement within the plant, ensuring timely supply to production and accurate storage.
  • Oversee the supply base for product release and in‑process material.
  • Ensure all parts are transported efficiently using trucking and common carriers to minimize cost and maximize load utilization.
  • Maintain system inventory accuracy consistent with physical inventory on the floor.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

  • Participate in and support the annual and periodic physical inventory processes, including organization, counting, data entry, and verification.
  • Maintain rigorous inventory verification and accuracy processes at all levels.
  • Understand and execute all logistics‑related SAP functions, including production orders, confirmations, receiving, and shipping.

Collaboration

The job holder must facilitate smooth information flow and effective cooperation with all other departments to ensure operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain exceptional plant housekeeping standards.
  • Strong experience in logistics, production, purchasing, and sales processes, preferably within automotive or automotive supply industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience across multiple hierarchy levels.
  • Ability to review MRP schedules and create supplier releases to support production requirements.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels internally and externally, ensuring correct timing and location.
  • Intercultural competence aligned with relevant supplier and customer regions.
  • Foreign Language: German language skills are advantageous.

Job Functions & Tasks

  • Create and send all Schedule Agreements (SAs) to suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain a production order system aligned with material procurement.
  • Coordinate closely with the Production Manager to maintain an accurate and achievable production schedule.
  • Review and correct MRP screens and SAs, including deletion, modification, and cleanup of erroneous or misleading data.
  • Share responsibility for creating production orders for the shop floor.
  • Investigate and resolve SAP transactional errors or incomplete functions.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes for materials sent to or received from outside processors.
